Festive Day at Monoshapara School
On 15th August children from the Monoshapara residential school participated in festive activities in honour of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who was the first president of Bangladesh. He is mainly famous for being called as a “Father of Nation” as he had a significant impact on independence of the country.
The entire day started when all students had gathered in the main hall where they were taught a couple of facts about this eminent personage by the teachers. Mujibur Rahman, also known as Bangabandhu (a Friend of Bengali), was assassinated in 1975 during a national revolution. Therefore, there were several solemn discussions throughout the day about his life in order to commemorate his lifelong contribution to the Bengali country. However, after that it was time for games. Children took part in various activities and competitions such as a football match, poetry reciting, arts competitions and singing the songs focused on the national revolution.
Even 54 children finally involved in arts contest. The most beautiful picture was then awarded the main prize by the school management. Hence, children learnt a few of important facts from Bangladesh history in effortless and interactive way. At the end of the day, the students solemnly swore dedication to the Bangladesh country.
