SAMS Library Restored for the Next Generation
The SAMS boarding school library, which has served as a peaceful haven for hundreds of knowledge-hungry students since 1998, has undergone a major renovation. With over 1,000 volumes, the library, which also serves as a reading club, classroom and meeting room, has been given a new look after more than 25 years of service.
The library renovation project covered several areas:
- Window repairs. All 18 windows were repaired and fitted with new screens to protect against insects and pests.
- Light and air. The library received 10 new fans and 6 new lights to provide the children with a comfortable and healthy study environment.
- Fresh coat of paint. The library was given a fresh coat of paint, creating a nice and welcoming atmosphere.
- Richer book collection. More than 350 new titles were added to the collection, delighting readers of all ages.
- Digital touch. A new computer and printer make it easier to manage the library and use modern technology.
Thanks to the extensive renovation, the library has maintained its tradition and continues to offer students an ideal environment for study, social activities and exploration of the wonderful world in which we live. As Jan Amos Comenius aptly observed: "Not to love books is not to love wisdom. Not to love wisdom is to become a fool."We would like to wish all the students many happy moments spent in the newly renovated library.
