2017: A life changing book
The book "We, Children of the Slum" was created thanks to the efforts of many people and photographs of the famous Fotograf bez talentu (Photographer without Talent), who aptly put his efforts to help Bangladeshi children into words: "If you support one child, you won't change the world. But you will change their whole world."
2015: New boat for children in Ambari
Children from the Ambari village school have a new boat that will safely transport them to and from school during nine months of the year. There used to be problems with transport – almost all roads, paths and trails for pupils to get to school are underwater in this area of southern Bangladesh due to monsoon rains. The new boat built thanks to the funds from Czech donors solved this problem.
2014: New motorcycle
New motorbike Bajaj Discover ST 125, started to swirl the dust on the narrow roads in the mountainous terrain of the Southeast of the Bangladesh. In the remote mountain regions with narrow zigzag roads, which are too narrow for other vehicles, helps this motorcycle together with other vehicles to the teachers and students of the boarding school AHTSS. The motorcycles help with food supplying of the school, transportation of the children to the doctor and also transportation of the school staff to the town offices.
2013: New well and two water tanks at the AHTSS Boarding School
In 2013, a well was dug and two water tanks were constructed together with the Maranatha civic association at the AHTSS boarding school, ensuring quality drinking water for more than 600 children, teenagers and teachers who live on the school premises.
2013: Calendar 'Robert Vano for Bangladesh'
This fifteen-moth desk calendar (October 2012 – December 2013) was created in collaboration with the world-famous photographer Robert Vano who captured celebrity moms and their children: Czech actresses Simona Postlerová, Tereza Kostková, Vanda Hybnerová, Bára Kodetová, Ivana Vaňková, cross country skier Kateřina Neumannová, ballet dancer Pavla Zusková and award winning prima ballerinas of the Czech National Theatre Nicola Márová a Tereza Podařilová.
2013: Cows for the school, milk for children!
A total of 580 children and young adults aged 4-16 years study at the KMMS boarding school in the south of Bangladesh. Apart from education, the school provides the students with a nutritionally balanced diet, either from local sources or by growing their own crops. Due to limited funds, the school was not able to buy milk on a regular basis, offering the students a more varied and nutritious diet.
2013: Sandals for children from slum schools
More than three hundred children from slum schools in Bangladesh have received sandals with the support of Czech sponsors. Most of them had not had any shoes until then – they had either walked completely barefoot or shared the shoes with their siblings. „The children were very happy when they got the sandals. Some of them even danced of joy,“ said Zonathon Sarkar, local coordinator of slum schools. „I also saw children throwing away they old, completely destroyed shoes right after they'd got the new ones,“ said Sarkar. According to the parents, some of the children even went to bed in their new sandals.
2012: Water treatment plant at the KMMS boarding school
A water treatment plant was constructed at the KMMS boarding school in collaboration with ADRA Bangladesh. The construction took place between October 2010 and February 2012. The plant provides 800-1000 liters of drinking water per day for students and staff.
