Children's Letters
Do you remember your first attempts with letters? Or your child's first written words? The memory of these moments often brings a smile to our faces. It is no different for children in Bangladesh, but their attempts are seasoned with cultural differences.
Bangladeshi children are not used to writing personal letters and may find it difficult to share information about their lives. Many are ashamed of their situation or are not used to expressing their feelings in writing.
Writing letters is therefore not a natural activity for Bangladeshi children from poor families. As a result, children tend to write short thank-you letters, which can be very austere. However, brevity is not a lack of interest, but a cultural difference. Every letter a child writes is a sign of gratitude and respect for you as a donor.
Therefore, we ask for your understanding and forbearance, dear donors, if the children's letters are not very personal or detailed, or if they are repetitive. They wanted to make you happy to the best of their ability.
Thank you for your understanding!
