2013: Cows for the school, milk for children!
A total of 580 children and young adults aged 4-16 years study at the KMMS boarding school in the south of Bangladesh. Apart from education, the school provides the students with a nutritionally balanced diet, either from local sources or by growing their own crops. Due to limited funds, the school was not able to buy milk on a regular basis, offering the students a more varied and nutritious diet.
This problem was solved by the project called Cows for schools, milk for children. The school was donated 10 cows and 6 calves and the students got regular access to fresh milk. Building a spacious cowshed with troughs was also a part of the project.
