Ambari
The Ambari village school is located in the South of Bangladesh in the Gopalgonj province, 220 km from Dhaka. It was established in 1996 and used to be a temporary building made of wood and metal plates. Since 2011, there has been a new brick building. Thanks to the “Energy for Schools in Bangladesh” program, the Ambari school building obtained a solar panel serving as a source of electricity. Next to the school building, there is a pond with fish that are sold. The profit helps reducing the school’s operating costs. Children can study there up to the 5th grade. The Ambari School has a great teacher. He is dedicated to help children and very talented. Around school and the pond, he grows vegetables, fruits, rice, and other crops. The school gives the impression of “an oasis in a desert”.
