Tongi

The Tongi City School, inhabited by 300.000 people and located 20 km from Dhaka, provides education for 220 students. It has been administered by ADRA Bangladesh since 2014. There are many factories and industries in Tongi, but it is not easy to get a job there. Manually working workers receive a low salary and their families live in a slum. Children can get pre-primary and elementary education at the local school (1st – 5th grade).
